www.whatjobspay.com.au uses the occupations in the ASCO and ANZSCO Dictionaries. The 1st and 2nd editions of the ASCO Dictionary were the standard references on occupations in Australia up to 2006. The 1st edition of the ANZSCO Dictionary (as revised) now has that function in Australia and New Zealand. ASCO stands for Australian Standard Classification of Occupations and ANZSCO for Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations.
A summary of duties for each occupation is shown in the Report Manager of the online database on www.whatjobspay.com.au. When an occupation is selected, it is included with the earnings figures in the Report. You can obtain a fuller description of job duties and other details from the relevant ASCO or ANZSCO resources outlined below. The relevant resource is determined by the year for which you want occupational earnings from the online database.
